Montevideo, Nov 22 (EFE) .- The Cooperativa Nacional de Productores Lecheros de Uruguay (Conaprole) began today to work on the design and packaging of milk powder that will be exported to Mexico, the Minister of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries of the South American country, Tabaré Aguerre, confirmed to the press.

The president of Uruguay, Tabaré Vázquez, led last week an official mission to Mexico in which he sealed an agreement to export powdered milk that will be sold directly to the supermarket shelves of the North American country.

The president traveled together with a delegation of 20 businessmen, including a representative of Conaprole, the leading Uruguayan exporter of milk.

Aguerre, who also accompanied Vázquez in Mexico, indicated that the trip "qualitatively was very promising" because it became the "first country that can sell milk powder in supermarkets" of the North American country.
