The contract, which was won in a contest, has a deadline for execution that exceeds 20 months and contemplates the expansion to six lanes of the Inter-American highway between La Chorrera and Santa Cruz, in the province of West Panama, the FCC group reported today. participated mostly by the Mexican magnate Carlos Slim.

The work, which affects 32.7 kilometers, includes design, construction and maintenance of the project, as well as the interconnection between the completion of the Arraiján-La Chorrera highway and the new Pan-American highway.

The project includes the performance in two variants (Capira and Campana) for its Adaptation to the new dimensions of the road.
